Final post as a "Lendület" group leader

I'm afraid this blog has been seriously neglected in 2017. I apologize to all readers because of this. The reason is simple: the last 6 months of the project were spent mostly on reporting, reviews and the finalization of results papers. The project was officially concluded on 30 June 2017, therefore, the Porous Nanocomposites Research Group is no longer co-financed by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The group continues its operations with funding by the University of Szeged using project money from various sources, but we shall not use the MTA-SZTE "Lendület" label anymore.

The "Publications" section of this website has been updated to showcase the consolidated scientific output of the "Lendület" research group. I have two additional results that I can happily report here from 2017:
- I have submitted my thesis for the D.Sc. title to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 31 March 2017. This is the beginning of a longish procedure that could -and hopefully, will- result in a promotion somewhen in 2018, but at least the gears are in motion here.
- The Hungarian Academy of Sciences has assessed the 5 year performance of all "Lendület" research groups. Our group was ranked as "excellent", which translates to "significantly better perfomance than the academic average in Hungary". I'm quite proud of this, actually :)  (The full evaluation letter can be read below in Hungarian).

Let me conclude this final post as "Lendület" group leader by thanking everyone who was involved in the success of this group. I am indebted to Hungarian Academy of Sciences for the opportunity, the University of Szeged for being an excellent host, all former and current group members and co-authors for the partnership, the administrative and technical staff for their assistance and the anonymous evaluators who gave very useful feedback and sensible advice to our annual reports.
THANK YOU!
